As part of our commitment to ensuring the lowest possible costs for users, the Port of Shimizu offers heavy subsidies on dockage, wharfage, and other fees. 

 

Abatements for Scheduled Service Routes

  • Lowest dockage fee in Japan
  • Lower total usage costs than Japan's five largest ports

  • 50% abatement on all tonnage past the first thirty thousand long tons
  • 20% abatement for use of at least two hours and no more than eight hours
  • May be combined with the subsidies listed above

Gantry Crane Usage Fees

  • 5% abatement per call on all containers past the first five hundred

Support for Factory and Logistics Facility

(1) Construction

　　Subsidies for production factories, logistics facilities, and R&D laboratories. Up to 40% of Land Cost, 10% 　of Other Capital Expenditure, and a grant of 500,000 yen per new hire. Note regarding Other Capital 　Expenditure: For Shizuoka Prefecture, the subsidy for Other Capital Expenditure is tentatively cappedat 1 　billion yen. (May be adjusted if your Other Capital Expenditure exceeds 10 billion yen.) For Shizuoka City, the 　subsidy is capped at 500 million yen.

 

(2) Renting 

　　Rent subsidies for production factories, logstics facilities,and office space for businesses involved in 　information service and internet-based services. (Capped at 10 million yen for Shizuoka City.)
